Police seize more than 200 cannabis plants at Hartlepool farm.


Officers from the Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Group found the cannabis farm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday October two, at about two.10pm.

More than 200 plants at a variety of stages of maturity have been seized from the farm which spanned all 3 floors of the developing.

A man in his twenties was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and officers mentioned the man is at the moment assisting police with their enquiries.

ergeant Adrian Dack, of the Hartlepool Neighborhood Security Group, mentioned: “The group have once more acted upon the data supplied by the neighborhood with a good outcome, additional controlled drugs have been recovered and we at the moment have a male in custody awaiting to be interviewed.

“This action is not just about disrupting organised crime and the production of controlled drugs, its about us taking good action, responding to what the neighborhood inform us they want, identifying vulnerable persons involved in organised crime and supporting these most vulnerable in society from becoming exploited by these sorts of crime. Yesterday’s action was performed as element of Operation Sentinel, a tri-force operation among Cleveland, Northumbria and Durham police, to target severe and organised crime across the area.
