New Milford Mayor, Pete Bass, said it was great to welcome a new business to town.
It’s called, Your CBD Store and you can find it on Church Street in New Milford. Two weeks ago, I wrote an article for I95 titled ‘Governor Lamont Signs New Hemp Production Bill Into Law’. The article was about how hemp farmers in Connecticut must fall in line with new USDA regulations, and that’s a good thing for up-and-coming CBD store owners and their customers.
The store’s owners, Kabi and Jonathan Mickens, told Hearst Connecticut Media that she’s happy that the New Milford community has been very supportive. CBD stands for cannabidiol, and it’s the second most prevalent of the active ingredients in marijuana.
Because CBD is derived directly from the hemp plant, it does not cause the “high” you get from smoking marijuana. CBD can have THC in it, but only deficient levels. CBD is regularly used to treat anxiety and sleep issues, and it’s also been shown to help in the treatment of chronic pain.
The Mickens’ new CBD store sells CBD-infused products like tinctures, gummies, and topical creams. During their grand opening, customers stopped by to sing the praises of CBD and how it helped lessened their pain or helped them sleep better.
On a personal note, I tried CBD oil a couple of years ago before there was any kind of regulations in place, so I had no clue how it worked or how much I needed to take. Now that all Connecticut hemp farmers must adhere to USDA regulations, it means that you can walk into Your CBD Store in New Milford and talk with the owners, Kabi and Jonathan Mickens, to get all the answers about what CBD oil can do for you.
